This three day event has a schedule packed with workshops and activities to not only bring us together, but help us evaluate and understand our own relationship with community. This starts on Friday, with an introduction to our theme of Weaving our Web. What do our individual experiences look like? What does it mean to reach out and build a web within your local network of friends and family? How do we overcome common obstacles to making a difference for those we care about? Come join us for the first workshop as we explore and empower each other to define our community and boldly reach out with compassion to one another.
No weekend fun would be complete without a movie night! We will balance out the heavy hitting community building with some light-hearted movie time. Join us for a showing of Fried Green Tomatoes—no girdles or hand mirrors required! We encourage you to bring your favorite fictional females to life by dressing up in their honor. Let’s kick back with this classic movie as we get to know each other a little better. Don’t forget the pitch-in! We will be having a community pot-luck style dinner, so be sure to pack something shareable. After dinner and a movie, we will be gathering at the Main Fire area for a bonfire and a little comradery before hitting the hay on day one. Bring your friends for a fun filled weekend!
