Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Is my male partner allowed to attend with me?
A: We understand attending the festival alone may be a hardship due to travel, time off of work, etc. We will have a gathering for the male attendees on the lower field with activities led by a member of our community. You are welcome to camp in the lower field with them and share meals or visit throughout the weekend. We ask that the male attendees are not on main field during the festival to maintain the sense of the women's community.
Q: Can my children attend with me?
A: Absolutely! Children are welcome to attend with their parent(s). Female children of any age and male children age 10 and under can stay on main field and participate in the activities during the entire festival. Male children over the age of 10 will be able to participate in the men's activities on lower field.
Q: Isn't is strange to separate the community and hold an event based exclusively on gender expression?
A: We honor the balance of masculine and feminine in our lives, and absolutely hold true that there is a place for female and male within ourselves, the community, and our lives. This event is not intended to separate our community or exclude anyone based on their gender expression. This gathering is designed to help women honor the parts of us that are inherently female and draw strength from those parts of ourselves that sometimes get shut down, or shut out, by society. We are working towards growing a stronger community overall and believe sometimes we must gather together and honor our fellow women to learn from them, help them heal, and give them the opportunity to fully explore their feminine side without fear or judgment.
